From the great response we have gotten, it seems Scissortail Streams is proving to be a popular way to showcase our local artists and the Park during the ongoing stay-at-home directive.
Music helps us in so many ways, especially now. This week we are excited to bring you Stephen Salewon who was privately recorded performing on our Event Pavilion while maintaining strict social distancing guidelines.
Since relocating to Oklahoma City from Lagos, Nigeria at the age of 13, Salewon has cultivated a truly unique melting pot of musical influences. Flavors of jazz, pop, red dirt, soul, and more can all be heard under his umbrella of indie folk music. But no matter what sound he takes on, his songwriting is always positive, inspired, and uplifting.
The third Scissortail Streams sessions is available to view now at https://youtu.be/Vje9-v6nYU8
We hope you enjoy this concert and please remember – the Park’s pathways and grounds remain open daily for walks and respite. Our park is here for you.
Special thanks again to Mortimer Creative, and Ty Calanni, technical stage manager for the Park, for recording our Scissortail Streams online concerts.
