Snow Day Play at Scissortail Park
The first thing we thought when we heard the forecast for Wednesday was, “Our hill is perfect for sledding!”
Sure enough, fans flocked to the Park from all over the metro to “break-in” what is sure to become one of Oklahoma City’s best hills for sledding. The variety of sledding apparatus employed was impressive for a southern state. We saw everything from plastic sleds, inflatable sleds, toboggans, snowboards and even skis!
Area schools and many businesses closed operations on February 5 for the season’s first significant snowfall – about 6 inches of lovely, powdery snow – but the Park became the place to be!
The Oklahoman captured an amazing video as kids of all ages enjoyed their snow day at Scissortail Park.
