Daffodil Dash at Scissortail Park

Celebrate Spring!

If the random days of warm weather have you yearning for spring, we have something for you to look forward to – the Daffodil Dash at Scissortail Park!

Late last fall Scissortail Park horticulture staff, along with a large group of helpful volunteers, planted 40,000 – yes 40,000! – daffodil bulbs throughout the Park. After germinating this winter we want to celebrate their arrival by hosting a 1K themed walk on Saturday, March 7 beginning at 11 a.m.

Meet the Park horticulture team at the Promenade entrance, located at the corner of Oklahoma City Boulevard and South Robinson Avenue, and this talented crew will lead you on a tour through the daffodils. Dress up as your favorite yellow flower, or just put on all your sunny yellow clothes to compete for prizes. Four-legged family members can dress up too!

We will also be introducing lawn games on the Loves Travel Stops Great Lawn as well as have pinwheel decorating and hat decorating contests. There will be flower sales, face painters, flower balloon artists, lawn games, music, food trucks, and more to enjoy these happy yellow blooms.

Free and open for everyone, plan to join us to inaugurate what will become an annual rite of spring; daffodils in the Park.
