Celebrating MLK DAY
It takes a lot of people to operate Scissortail Park and we are hiring for a variety of fun and rewarding positions. Do you enjoy organizing events for the public? Maybe horticulture is more of your passion. Or actively patrolling and interacting with visitors as a park ranger might be the career choice for you. These positions, along with several others, are currently open. What does this have to do with the MLK Day celebration in Oklahoma City?
Plenty. Because we will be at the OKC MLK Coalition Job Fair hosted by OKC Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Coalition. Come see us Monday, January 20 at Douglass High School, 900 N. Martin Luther King Ave, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We welcome interested applicants to visit with us at the job fair to learn all about working at the Park.
Take a look here https://www.scissortailpark.org/careers-2/ to see the all of the positions we have available.
We are also excited about supporting our community by volunteering at the annual holiday parade later that day. The parade traverses near the Park, from NW Sixth Street and Walker Avenue, to Reno and Walker avenues, and caps three days of celebration, organized by the OKC Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Coalition. They are observing 40 years of honoring the legacy of Dr. King in Oklahoma City. Come say hello.
